Brasas Peruanas

Peruvian Restaurant

Rebrand

Growing up in a half-Mexican, half-Peruvian household, I had the pleasure of experiencing some of the most amazing food. Brasas Peruanas is one of the few Peruvian Restaurants in Texas delivering the same quality of food I had growing up. Austin is really lucky to have such a hidden gem in our city, but that's the problem—it's hidden. By giving them a fresh rebrand, their new logo and branding assets can complement the amazing food and reach a wider audience.

Process

Beginning this project, I had a general idea of where I wanted to go; the Inka culture of Peru is what began as my main Inspiration for the overall vibe of the brand redesign, as their tribal designs were very captivating and synonymous with Peru. These Initial sketches became refined into a more modern and inviting take on Peruvian culture to the masses. When refining the typography, I wanted the main text to feel very artisanal as this restaurant is very much a mom's and pop's sorta place but by making the secondary text sans serif and mature, we can establish the restaurant as an official business, their chicken is no joke and shouldn't be treated as one.

Let me know If you check them out and tell me what you think, Im sure they would love the business as I bet you will be coming back for more.
